Film Classifications
-
Universal
It is impossible to predict what might upset any particular child. But a 'U' film should be suitable for audiences aged four years and over. 'U' films should be set within a positive moral framework and should offer reassuring counterbalances to any violence, threat or horror.
Parental Guidance
Unaccompanied children of any age may watch. A 'PG' film should not disturb a child aged around eight or older. However, parents are advised to consider whether the content may upset younger or more sensitive children.
12A
No-one younger than 12 may see a '12A' film in a cinema unless accompanied by an adult. Responsibility for allowing under-12?s to view lies with the accompanying or supervising adult.
15
No-one younger than 15 may see a '15' film in a cinema.
18
No-one younger than 18 may see an '18' film in a cinema.

Can school children visit cinemas during the day in term time?
We work closely with local councils to do our part in not supporting truancy. Therefore, Reel Cinemas will not admit school children into the cinema during school hours. Children who wish to visit the cinema during these hours will need to produce a letter from the school on headed paper giving us authority to admit them entry. Any child who does not produce a letter will be turned away even if they are off school for legitimate reasons. So we urge parents to ensure their child obtains a letter from the school to avoid disappointment.
-
Can I bring in my own food and drink?
Reel Cinemas have a strict NO FOOD AND DRINK policy. We reserve the right to refuse customers entry into the screens with food or drink bought outside the premises. All our cinemas display the necessary signage, advising customers of this policy.
As a food operator we offer a wide range of drinks and snacks to satisfy our customers but also protect our cinema furnishings and customers clothing. Not all movie-goers are considerate of others in their snack choices and we have needed to set clearer guidelines on what is appropriate.

How can I find out what disabled facilities are available at my nearest Reel Cinema?
